Updated Development Plan for Störsvik

Störsvik in Siuntio (better known as Pickala) is a unique area that combines high-quality living, stunning nature, recreational opportunities, and internationally renowned golf courses. The area’s strengths attract permanent residents, vacationers, and visitors alike.

We prepared an updated development plan for Störsvik in collaboration with Otantatutkimus. The plan brings together the shared long-term vision of the area’s key stakeholders regarding its development. In addition to housing, the plan examines, among other things, services, recreation, nature, tourism, and golf, as well as how the area’s strengths can be developed in a sustainable manner well into the future.

On August 26, we organized a discussion session for Störsvik residents, during which we presented the key objectives of the development plan, the most important findings from the research that informed it, and the development proposals drafted based on the plan. The plan sparked a lot of thoughts and questions about Störsvik’s future.

The updated development plan was commissioned by the Housing Foundation, Oy Pickala Golf Ab, the Municipality of Siuntio, Rock Resort, Rock Golf, and the Rehnberg family.
